The Calaveras Wellness Foundation (CWF) is a California nonprofit 501(c)3 charitable organization that supports and improves access to quality healthcare in Calaveras County.
CWF funds will support initiatives such as services for Behavioral Health and Dental Care.
Recent community health assessments have identified significant gaps in youth health, Behavioral Health and obesity/diabetes.
CWF funds will help fill these gaps.
Employees in healthcare are currently facing quality of life issues, so CWF funds are to provide grants for employees faced with unexpected situations in order to stabilize and retain staff.
Last year, the CWF donations were able to provide:
In-home physical therapy for a patient who was paralyzed by a severe infection and is now walking and able to take care of himself
Light and heat during the winter for a medical assistant whose power was cut off by PG&E
The Foundation Management and Board of Directors are strongly committed to
the notion that donations will be used directly to help these important causes
and minimize any administrative expenses.
Over $100,000 in donated funds
were allocated to the construction of a new behavioral health center which will serve hundreds of our fellow residents who have no other source of care.
